It was a busy weekend at The Butterfly Movement with a news story appearing in The Advertiser. Click Advertiser news story to read the piece first hand.

This story has been a launch pad for a number of caring and passionate South Australians who have contacted us to donate their time to making the goal of 10,000 shoes by Christmas 2011 a reality. These wonderful people will also make it easier for more South Australians to donate their gently worn shoes. Thank you.

Also, as at 3/10/2011 we have 202 pairs of shoes already donated. Thank you.

  1. Hi Dalice,

What a fantastic initiative! I am very excited about helping to collect shoes from family and friends. Just a couple of practical questions: Do you want shoes in shoe boxes if possible? How do you want the pairs hooked together?
    Kind regards,
    Carolyn Butcher

    • Hi Carolyn,
Thank you for getting in contact, your shoes will be much appreciated and loved where they are going.
If shoes with laces can be tied together that would be great. As for other shoes they can either be tied with string or left as they are.
In regards to shoe boxes, preferrably not as they are quite bulky and I am packing the shoes as tightly as I can into bigger boxes.
      Thank you again.
      Warm regards,
      Dalice
